Bacteriophage PL25 was purified by centrifugation in caesium chloride. It has S°20,w = 485; D°20,w = 0.68 x 10-7 cm.2/sec. and M.W. = 54.3 x 106. An equation was derived relating S°20,w and molecular weight of bacteriophages.
