Announcement

Sixth International Congress of Virology Sendai, Japan, September 1–7, 1984

The Virology Division of the International Union of Microbiological Societies is organizing The Sixth International Congress of Virology which will be held from 1 to 7 September, 1984, in Sendai, Japan.

The scientific programme will include 5 symposia on subjects of general interest, about 50 workshops on specific subjects, and poster sessions which will cover all areas of virology. The congress will run for 5 days with a 1 day intermission. Accommodation of varying cost will be reserved including some inexpensive hotel rooms and attempts are being made to significantly reduce travelling costs.

Those virologists who plan to attend this congress should send their name and mailing address immediately to: Congress Secretariat, Sixth International Congress of Virology, c/o International Congress Service, Chikusen Bldg. 2-7-4 Nihombashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 103, JAPAN

Respondents will be placed on a mailing list for all further communications including the First Announcement/Preliminary Programme which will be distributed in May, 1983.
