The index influenza A virus subtype H5N1 isolated from a human in 1997 differs in its receptor-binding properties from a virulent avian influenza virus, by K. Iwatsuki-Horimoto, R. Kanazawa, S. Sugii, Y. Kawaoka & T. Horimoto

Journal of General Virology vol. 85, part 4, pp. 1001-1005

Supplementary Figure. Haemadsorption of the wild-type and selected mutant HAs. Expressed HA was detected by immunostaining with anti-H5 monoclonal antibodies, demonstrating that the expression levels are equivalent among the HAs. Results were quantified by counting haemadsorption-postive and -negative cells in five randomly selected microscopic fields.
