A novel hepatitis B virus subgenotype, D7, in Tunisian blood donors, by B. H. M. Meldal, N. M. Moula, I. H. A. Barnes, K. Boukef and J.-P. Allain

Journal of General Virology Paper in Press

Since publication of this paper ahead of print, the partial sequences from three hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotype D strains from Indonesia [Lusida et al. (2008). J Clin Microbiol 46, 2160–2166], which were preliminarily designated subgenotype D6, were confirmed by full genome sequencing [Utsumi et al. (2009). J Clin Microbiol (in press)]. As a result, the Tunisian strains initially designated D6 have been re-named HBV subgenotype D7 in the final version of this paper. Please note that the title of this paper has changed; the correct title is as given above. The authors apologise for causing any confusion to the readership of the Journal of General Virology.
