Front cover illustration: Dissected anterior midgut from Culex nigripalpus nucleopolyhedrovirus-infected (CuniNPV) third instar larvae demonstrating the gross morphology of the gastric caeca infected with CuniNPV. Each refractive sphere is a hypertrophied nucleus containing occlusion bodies of CuniNPV. Infections of CuniNPV were primarily restricted to the proximal cells of the gastric caeca while cells in the distal portions are uninfected. Magnification. 120x or 108 mm equals 500 µm.
