Front cover illustration

Vero cells expressing measles virus monocistronic minigenomes containing the genes for enhanced green fluorescent protein or DsRed2 were infected with standard measles virus. The syncytia produced contain green or red fluorescent protein or both (yellow) at different ratios which results in a spectrum of colours when the syncytia are viewed by UV microscopy.
