Colocalization of M with H proteins in rMV-infected cells. MDCK cells were infected with (from top to bottom) rMVEdm, rMVF549Y/A, rMVH12Y/A and rMVFHY/A. Surfaces of unfixed MDCK cells were labelled with an H-specific MV serum and rhodamine-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit IgG. After permeabilization, cells were stained with an M-specific mAb and FITC-conjugated anti-mouse IgG. Merged images of the rhodamine and FITC channels are shown.
