Ordering Procedure

Subscribing to Journal of General Virology Online is a 2 step process:

First, you must follow your usual "new serial" or renewal ordering procedures to subscribe to the paper version of Journal of General Virology, ISSN 0022-1317, which also provides access to the online version. Payment should be made to your subscription agent or directly to SGM.

Second, once your serial vendor or SGM has received payment, you will receive a letter with instructions for obtaining access to the World Wide Web edition; the letter will direct you to the page containing a link to the activation system. You will be asked to provide the following information necessary to activate your subscription to Journal of General Virology Online:

Institution's IP Address(es)
[CRITICAL INFORMATION ABOUT IP ADDRESSES -- READ THIS]

Contact name, title, phone, fax, email and the institution address (where the journal is sent)

Subscription reference number (included with the letter or on the journal mailing label)

Your institution will not have access to the full Journal of General Virology Online until you complete this second step.
